  • Product Reviews:
    Pros:
    - Shaft is very flexible
    - Drill bit will never bind & break
    - Keyless chuck makes varying bits easy

    Cons:
    - Is NOT Heavy Duty
    - When biting hard, the bit will break free causing you to stop and re-tighten the chuck
    - Shaft is subject to breakage with solely moderate torque applied
    - PJ Tools only offers 30 warranty and that is if returned unopened in ingenious packaging

I purchased this tool to drill out an exhaust manifold stud that snapped off. The space is too tight for a drill. I started with a 1/16" bit and worked my mode up to about 1/4". Most of the time, when it bites in, the bit will spin free causing you stop and tighten the chuck. However this this time the bit bound causing the flex shaft to curl up. The second time this happened, the shaft broke inside the cable, rendering it useless. I was very careful using this and am extremely disappointed within the low quality. PJ Tools (seller) won't take it back and I'm not sure who the manufacturer is.
This Enkay Flex Shaft is advertised as unhealthy duty and it seems to live up to that title, I received mine today it feels well made and solid, I have used it lone once so far and it worked great.
The Enkay's 1/4 inch chuck holds the drill bit securely and spins it accuratly on center with only a slight amount of play. The shaft itself spins smoothly even while double looped in a 8 inch circle so should own no trouble bending around awkward areas.
One thing worth noting, on the packaging it says this shaft is designed to rotate clockwise and shouldnt be used within reverse, this is not mentioned here on amazon. I have run my drill slowly in reverse just to see what would appear and it seems fine, I would try using it in reverse if I really needed reverse drill bits to remove a sheared off bolt as it feels approaching it still runs smoothly that way but be aware the caution note on the packaging advise against it.
Very nice product but be careful the attachment end is 1/4" also so It won"t fiyt a dremel rotary tool
    Great heavy duty flex shaft
This product by far has exceeded my expectations. It is very smooth to work with and very comfortable grip.
    Flex shaft
The product arrived quickly and appears to be very devout quality. I have used it with some sanding drums (that's why I bought it). Worked ably and got the job done.
Sturdy shaft make it a little bulky for really small jobs
This one is bound to last longer than the one I have be using, but is not quite as facile at getting into small areas.
