I bought this so I could charge my cordless tool batteries in the contents area of my van, and keep the clutter out of the cab. It did not work out so good, the chain is too thin to use on a battery charger that only draws 5 amps DC. The batteries would not correctly charge due to a low voltage condition the fine wiring caused. So I am not sure what kind of accessory this entity is good for?
Use only for low current applications.
My cable be marked 0.75MM (squared). A web search showed this to be somewhere in between 20 and 22 AWG.
The lead size should be given in the Amazon listing. This cable would probably be fine to charge an iPhone or iPod, but I would not use it with any tools, larger lights, air compressors, etc. (I could find no fuse.)
The AMP rating is not on the line, nor on the packaging, so do your own careful research before using.
Other than the low current carrying capacity the ability of construction looks good (made in Taiwan not China).

Many of us carry 12 volt accoutrements in our vehicles - tire pumps, emergency lights, etc. They usually come with about ten foot of cord.
