      I am an African American with very long, very sticky hair. I have more hair than anyone I know - besides my Hispanic sister-in-law, who has a comparable amount. I grew out my relaxer a few years ago, and enjoy since been seeking the right products to tame my mane. There was only one stylist who could straighten my curls -- and it would stay straight. After going to many other stylists, just to have my hair poof rear legs up at the slightest hint of rain or sweat, I decided to invest in indistinguishable products my favorite stylist was using...There is no trick--It's the PRODUCT!! The iron, shining sheen and movement mist, brilliance polisher, and thermal protectanct keep the environment OUT OF MY HAIR!!!!! I don't run when it's misty outside, nor do I forego excercise for the sake of my hair...If they had a commercial/infomercial, I would specifically do one for them. I even use the products on my four-year-old daughter's hair!!! I LOVE RUSK!!! Everyone asks how my hair gets so straight and stays and I have no problem near telling my not-so-secret lol!       I ordered this based on the positive reviews I found, however, I don't recall a review mentioning the aroma. Eeeeeww...this has a really strong "men's cologne" aroma! Great for men...problem is...I bought this for me!! It does create shine, but take heed, a small amount goes a long way. I would recommend spraying it into your hands first and rub them together and then insubstantially coat your hair rather than spraying it directly on or you'll end up with greasy looking fleece.

      My stylist used this on my hair years ago (10 or more) and I have used it since as a insubstantial stay-on mist. I put it on as an after-conditioner helper. It keeps the friz down! My local beauty supply place doesn't stock it any only. Very glad to find it on Amazon. I writ at least 2 at a time.
